TREVOR’S OWN EL GIN®

Our Gin starts as wine harvested and crushed in the Heart of Arizona’s Original Wine Country, Elgin, Sonoita AVA, Arizona. The hand harvested and picked botanicals, all of which are local, are blended together prior to fermentation to produce exceptional gin that is sought out in many countries throughout the globe. This exceptional gin has won first place, gold, and 90+ scores at several of the world’s top spirits competitions and is the perfect example of wine based gin.

Gin and wine

Not only do we make Gin from French Colombard (Trevor’s Own El Gin®), we also make Gin from Moscato, Syrah, Graciano, and Gewurztraminer. Because we make our Gins from wine, we are permitted to add a small amount of wine into the product, which we do for a few styles.

Trevor’s Own El Gin® started us off. This remarkable gin is named for our famous India Blue Peacock, Trevor. After we distilled the gin, Trevor would feast on the botanicals when we removed them from the pot. With his discerning approval we moved forward in creating a unique gin style. In the first competition, the El Gin® won a Gold medal and finished in the top 10. Followed by several 90+, further Gold and Silver Outstanding showings. It has also won high marks at Gin and Tonic competitions.

Graciano and El Gin®, this is both made from Sonoita AVA Graciano and has a small amount of this remarkable wine added back into the product. This gin actually scored 1 point higher than our original at the IWSC in London.

Moscato and El Gin®, made from and with Moscato Bianco, this floral and fruity gin is perfect for warm Arizona days and works well as a mixer.

Holiday El Gin®, is a blood orange and cranberry infused gin made for the Holiday season and is exceptional in both palate and balance.

A champion of using as local as possible and expressing the unique characteristics created in our microclimate and locale, our Master Rum Distiller believes that love for and dedication to the craft of distilling is key to making exquisite spirits. Maintaining a connection to time, place and soul of the spirit is paramount to creating something that one can be proud to have produced. This is our driving philosophy and the reason for our success.

Gabriella Ellam

Distiller

Having spent her entire life in the industry, Gabriella has had the benefit of learning both from experience and scientific knowledge. She is crafting her way in the still house and keeping everyone in line.

Gabriella is designing the newest styles of handcrafted, small lot, Arizona Gin for her own label and for El Gin.

Blender / Chef

Everything comes down to taste. We are fortunate to have a super taster in our distillation family/team. Not only does our blender need to help in final proofing, she is responsible for creating the drinks and cocktails that make our libations enjoyable. This can range from don't touch it to I think this will pair nicely to creating foods that both complement and are complemented by our rums.
